How Can I Go To Heaven?

The really good news is that this is an easy question to answer.

The Bible teaches that there is only one way to Heaven.  Jesus said in John, chapter 14, verse 6 that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  He said  no one comes to the Father but by Him.

Since we all know our own hearts, most of us don't have too much trouble believing what the Bible has to say about us in Romans 3:23.  The Bible also tells us in Isaiah 6:3, that God is perfectly Holy.  Because of our sinful nature, we deserve to be forever separated from a Holy and Righteous God.  But God, because He loves us so much, and doesn't want anyone to go to Hell(2 Peter 3:9),  provided a way for us to be saved!

God sent His perfect and blameless Son to take our sins upon Himself. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

1 John 1:12 says if we will receive Him (Jesus) He will give us the right to become children of God!

If you would like to have peace in your life, and stop being controlled by your sin, if you want to know for sure that you will go to Heaven to live forever with God, you can pray a prayer like this:

Dear Father, I know I am a sinner.  I know You have a plan for me.   I know you have provided a way for me to be saved.  You died on the cross for me.  I want to turn my life over to you.  I ask you to forgive me.  I invite you to come and live inside of me and be my savior.  I repent and turn away from my sinful life.  I commit myself to you, and to obeying you.  Thank You Jesus.  Amen.

If you prayed a prayer like this one, you are now a child of God.   It is important that you find a church that teaches the Bible as the 100% Word of God.  You need to spend time every day with God in prayer and worship.  You need to read your Bible daily.  A Bible believing church can help you learn about all these things.    May God bless you as you start out on your brand new life in Him!

If you have become a new Christian, we would love to hear from you.   We would also be glad to answer any questions you might have, or help you find a church in your area.  You may e-mail us at the address on our home page.
